🌈 Rainbow at Vernal Fall 🌊

Vernal Fall 💦 is a stunning waterfall standing at 317 ft (96 m) tall. It’s one of the most powerful waterfalls in Yosemite National Park 🏞️. Unlike Yosemite Falls or Bridalveil Fall, you can’t see Vernal Fall from the valley floor by car 🚗. To experience this beauty, you’ll need to hike one of Yosemite’s trails 🥾.
The Mist Trail 🌫️ is a fantastic option if you want to wander through the mist of Vernal Fall. Another choice is the Panorama Trail 🌄. Hike downhill from Glacier Point ❄️ until you connect with the Mist Trail and walk alongside both Nevada and Vernal Falls on your way down to the valley.
Yosemite National Park offers breathtaking views of towering granite walls, domes, and cascading waterfalls 💦. Climb nature’s "giant staircase" for close-up views of two waterfalls and geological features. These powerful and turbulent waterfalls will soak you in spring 🌧️ and entice you year-round.
On sunny days, a vibrant rainbow 🌈 often forms across the waterfall, adding to its magical atmosphere. This natural phenomenon is a popular subject for photographers 📸 and a delight for visitors of all ages.
The best time to see Vernal Fall at peak flow is late April to early May 🌸, but it flows year-round. 
In the winter ❄️, the lower part of the trail to Vernal Fall generally remains open. You can walk a mile to the Vernal Fall Footbridge and enjoy a beautiful view from the base of the falls. However, the steep stairs next to the waterfall become icy and hazardous, so that section of the trail closes. Hikers can still enjoy views of Vernal Fall from the John Muir Trail.
